AAS 342
3 credits · HFA+
This course explores Korean philosophy as a living intellectual tradition that continues to evolve in response to contemporary concerns. Through comparative perspectives, historical developments, and major debates within Korean Confucianism, students will examine how Korean philosophy has addressed enduring human questions across different historical and cultural contexts. The course also encourages students to apply philosophical concepts to issues that remain relevant today. The course combines synchronous and asynchronous online sessions, using pre-recorded lectures, reflection notes, online discussions to support both self-directed learning and collaborative engagement.
