CIV 301
3 credits
This course introduces probability and statistics with emphasis on applications in civil and environmental engineering. Topics include probability theory, random variables and commonly used distributions, sampling and statistical inference, regression and empirical modeling, extreme value analysis, and introductory reliability and risk assessment. Students analyze engineering data using Excel and Python and apply probabilistic methods to model uncertainty in loads, material properties, environmental systems, and infrastructure performance. Not for credit in addition to AMS 310 or ECO 320.
Not on any schedule we have.
