Biomedical engineering students must complete at least 30 credits of electives at the 300 or 400 level including at least two 3- credit design technical elective courses with a BME designation. Three technical elective courses must be BME courses (not BME 476, BME 488 or BME 499). BME 476, BME 488 and BME 499 may be taken as an additional technical elective for a total of 6 credits. BME Technical Design Courses: At least two of the following. BME Technical Elective Courses: At least three of the following. Non BME Technical Electives: Not more than five courses (15 credits) may be taken from this list (while more may be taken, they cannot replace the BME design plus BME technical elective courses).
All degree candidates must demonstrate skill in written English at a level acceptable for engineering majors. BME 302 - Research Fundamentals and Communication 3 credits
